We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced professional to join our Champaign, IL office as Manager of Mechanical Engineering. The selected candidate will be responsible for technical leadership, project management and staff development.  Our mechanical department provides a broad spectrum of central plant, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection studies, design, and construction phase services for public sector projects.

 Position Requirements

• B.S. degree in mechanical engineering is required. M.S or M.B.A is desirable.
• P.E. registration in Illinois is required. Indiana and/or Wisconsin registration is desirable.
• 10 - 15 years of broad based consulting engineering experience with an emphasis on HVAC design for large facilities.
• 3 - 5 years of management experience with a demonstrated ability to provide project guidance, delegate tasks and develop staff.
• Strong project management skills including; project analysis, budgeting, workload and profit forecasting.
• Ability to build a collaborative work environment and utilize available resources across multiple offices.
• Ability to lead and/or assist in marketing of Clark Dietz services.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships and maintain them over time.
• Active involvement with professional associations and civic organizations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to make public presentations and create proposals and technical reports.
• Knowledgeable in the capabilities of a variety of design and modeling software packages.
